The registration closing date allows you, as a coach, to set a deadline beyond which members can no longer change their attendance status for an event. Here is everything you need to know about this feature.

When creating an event
In the Registration Settings section of the event creation form, you can enable the Registration Closing Date feature (disabled by default).
Once enabled, you must:
- Set the closing date relative to the start of the event:
- The number of days before the event (the corresponding date will be displayed automatically)
- The closing time on that day
- Choose whether or not to send a reminder before closing:
- The number of days before closing (the corresponding date will be displayed automatically)
- The time the reminder will be sent
⚠️ Rules to follow:
- The closing date must be after the registration opening date.
- The pre-closing reminder date must also be after the registration opening date.

When editing an event
- If the event has not yet taken place: you can modify the registration closing date at any time.
- If the new closing date has already passed, registrations are automatically reopened.
- The pre-closing reminder date is automatically recalculated, maintaining the same gap as with the previous date.
- If the event has already taken place: the fields are disabled and the closing date can no longer be modified.
On the match sheet
Before the closing date:
- The closing date is displayed on the match sheet.
- You can manually close registrations before this date if you wish.
After the closing date:
- A message indicates that registrations are closed.
- Members who did not respond before closing remain visible in the Awaiting response section.
- You can still manually change the attendance status of any member.
- If you call up a new member after closing, they appear by default in Awaiting response, but you can place them directly in Present.
Without a defined closing date: you can manually close and reopen registrations at any time from the match sheet.
Notifications
- You receive a notification when registrations are closed.

In your calendar
Before the closing date:
- The closing date is displayed on the event.
- You can change your attendance status normally.
After the closing date:
- A message indicates that registrations are closed.
- Your attendance status remains visible but can no longer be changed.
- If you attempt to change it, a notification invites you to contact your coach via SportEasy messaging. A button allows you to directly open a conversation with them.
On the match sheet
Before the closing date:
- The closing date is displayed.
- You can change your attendance status normally.
After the closing date:
- The page automatically refreshes when the countdown reaches zero.
- A message indicates that registrations are closed.
- Your attendance status remains visible but can no longer be changed.
- If you attempt to change it, a notification invites you to contact your coach via SportEasy messaging. A button allows you to directly open a conversation with them.
Notifications
- When registrations open (email): if a closing date has been set, it is indicated in the invitation email.
- Reminder before closing (email & push): you receive a reminder indicating the time remaining before registrations close.
- When registrations close (email & push): you are notified that registrations are now closed.
- If the closing date is changed: if your coach updates the closing date, you receive an additional notification to inform you.
Joining the team after the closing date?
If you join the team after the registration closing date for an event, you will not be automatically called up. However, your coach can manually add you if they wish.
