I am part of a team on SportEasy and I see events in my Calendar tab on the app. However, I am unable to indicate my attendance: the Present and Absent buttons do not appear under the event.
In this article, we will explain the different reasons for this:
1. Scheduled automatic sending
The invitation may be set to be sent automatically at a specific date and time before the event. In this case, a specific message will appear on your phone at the time of sending.
From a computer, you can check this sending schedule: log in, go to the Calendar tab, then select the relevant event.
2. Manual sending by the coach
Your coach can also manage invitations manually. They then choose who to invite and when, and can therefore invite part of the team before you. The list of invited players will be displayed with their attendance status.
Special case: if you have just joined the team after invitations have been sent out, you may receive the invitation automatically upon joining, or not receive it at all depending on the coach’s settings.
3. Default attendance status
Your coach can assign you a default attendance status as soon as the event is created:
- Present by default: you are automatically registered for the event. You receive a notification and can withdraw at any time.
- Absent by default: you are informed that registrations are open. You can register whenever you wish.
- Pending: no status is predefined. It is then up to you to indicate your presence or absence.
In the first two cases, it is not necessarily mandatory to respond, but remember to keep an eye on upcoming events!
4. Registration deadline
Your coach can set a registration deadline for an event. Once this deadline has passed, you will no longer be able to change your attendance status.
