Manage your club's seasons - 🖥️

When using SportEasy for your club, you need to know how to manage having different seasons on the app. 

• Only club admins can create, edit or delete seasons
• The teams within the club are also set using the club season dates

• Each TEAM'S member database will be impacted when creating a new season   

Create, edit or delete a season

• Go to the cub settings ⚙️ from the website
• Click on Manage seasons 
• Click on the pencil icon ✏️

You can then: 

• Create a season (past or future) and give it a name and dates 
• Edit the name or dates of existing seasons 
• Delete a season, only if there are no events and if it is not in between two seasons

If you don't manually create your next future season, it will be created automatically at the end of this season, with the same members. 

Caution: The dates must be contiguous. 

e.g: If the 2023 season ends on July 31st, the 2024 season needs to start on August the 1st.  

The CLUB member database will be impacted when creating a new season 

When a new future season is created, the current season's club member database will automatically be duplicated. 

e.g: if you have 250 members in the 2023 season, their info will be duplicated into the 2024 season.  

If your club members aren't the same as the previous season, club admins can delete the people who are no longer club members, either before the future season is created, or during the new season. 

Each TEAM'S member database will be impacted when creating a new season

When a new future season is created, the current season's club member database will automatically be duplicated. Which means, team members are also duplicated. 

Caution: You might want to anticipate your future seasons by creating them earlier on but if you do, the database that will be copied is the one of that day. This means that if you add three members to the club a couple of days later, they will not be added to the future season.  

You need to add all new players before creating the future season or after creating the season. But it will not be updated automatically.
