You are 'coach', 'player-coach' and/or 'admin' of your team on SportEasy?
You can add members (players, coaches, parents ...) to your roster at any time, in order to invite them to join your team.
You should know that 'players' can also invite members, as some teams have expressed this need. The 'players' cannot edit anything else for the members (e.g. change their roles or profiles, delete members, etc.). A 'coach', 'player-coach' and/or 'admin' can on the other hand modify the information of the invited member, or even delete them if added to the team by mistake.
There are different ways to invite members to join the team, it will all depend on whether:
- Add members from the website, on a computer 💻
- Add members from the mobile app, on a smartphone/tablet 📱
Add members from the website, on a computer 💻
In this case, you need to be on the member database page of your team on the SportEasy website.
You have 2 options to add members:
Send an email invitation 📧
In this case, you must have the personal email address of the member (player, coach, ...) or the parent (in the case of a youth team, most players do not have a personal email address).
Once the member (or parent) has been added, they will receive an email invitation to join the team.
1) Add a member (player, coach, ...):
- From the team roster, click on Add member
- On the next page, click on Invite new members
- Fill in the 'Name', 'First name', 'Email' and 'Role' columns for each member
- For this you can:
- Fill in the table manually
- Or copy/paste one or more columns directly from an Excel file
- Or copy/paste a list of emails
Finally, you can add a personalized message that will appear in the invitation sent by email.
2) Add a player and the player's parents:
- The child is not a member of the team on SportEasy
- The child is already a member of the team on SportEasy
In the case of a youth team, the majority of players (children) do not have a personal email address. It is therefore necessary to associate at least one parent to each player.
a) The child is not yet a member of the team on SportEasy:
- From the member database, click on Add member
- On the next page, click on Invite new members
- Enter only the child's 'Last name', 'First name' and 'Role'
- Leave the 'Emai'" column empty (unless the child has a personal email: you can enter it here)
- Enter the parent's email address in the 'Parent's email' column
You will be able to complete the last name, first name, and phone number of the parent (and even add another parent later).
b) The child is already a member of the team on SportEasy:
- Click on the player profile, from the team roster
- In the 'Parents' tab of the profile you can:
- update the information for parents already added
- add additional parents
An email invitation will be sent automatically to the new parents added.
Share an invitation code (or link) 🔗
You do not know the email address of a member (or their parent).
But you have their phone number, you are friends on a social network, or you see him regularly in person ...
You can therefore share an invitation code (or link) with him:
- Via a messaging system (SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger...)
- In person
For this, from the member database on the website:
- From the member database, click on Add member
- On the next page, click on Share the link or code allowing to join the team
- Read the code (and the link), and share it with your members:
- by SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook ...
- orally in person
- handoff a PDF:
- click on Download the PDF to be shared
- print and distribute this PDF to your members (after a training session, or a game)
Add members from the mobile app, on a smartphone/tablet 📱

Share an invitation code (or link) 🔗

But on the other hand: you have his phone number, you are friends on a social network, or you see him regularly in person ...
You can share an invitation code (or link) with them:
- From the member database, click on the main icon in the form of +
- Share a link on one of the messaging systems available (WhatsApp, SMS, Messenger ...)
- OR share the invitation code in person
Each person who uses the link or the code will have to specify if they are 'Member' (player, coach, ...) or 'Parent of a player' when joining the team.
They must also specify their 'Last Name', 'First Name', 'Email' and this information will then be visible on their profile in the roster tab.
