As a club admin, you can collecte online payments from your members.
Are there fees on these payments?
- YES, there are fees
To guarantee secure online payments, SportEasy has partnered with Stripe to process these payments, the world leader for online payments.
Stripe bills SportEasy for each payment made online via their services, to guarantee security. To cover these costs, there is a 4% transaction fee for each online payment on SportEasy.
By paying banking and management fees, you ensure the security of your transactions.
- If you collecte payments in $US, $CA or CHF, SportEasy allows you to decide who will cover these fees
When you create your first payment collection, you can select:
- Transaction fees are covered by your members
- Transactions fees are covered by the club
- How to change the transaction fee settings
Transaction fees are covered by your members
With SportEasy, you can collect online payments for your club, without losing any money! With this option, your members will cover the transaction fees applied to each payment.
When you create different fees in a collection, the amount you enter will be the amount shown to your members. Before you confirm the creation of the collection, we will show you how much the transaction fees will be.
Once your members have started to pay your collection, you will be able to track who has paid and who hasn't from the dashboard. Only the amount collected by the club will be shown.
Before confirming the payment, the member paying the collection will be informed about the transaction fee.
E.g: If the membership is 100.00 $US, and the member decides to pay by card, the total amount paid will be 104.00 $US.
Transactions fees are covered by the club
If you prefer, you can set the collection so that the club will cover the transaction fees.
When you create different fees in a collection, SportEasy will show you the total amount collected once the transaction fees have been deducted.
On the dashboard, you will find how much the participant has paid and how much the club actually collected.
The participants will not see anything about transaction fees during the payment as they are not the ones covering the fees.
How to change the transaction fee settings
You can change the transaction fee settings from the settings page in the collections tab.
⚠️ Changing the settings will only apply to your future settings. Collections that have already been created will keep the setting you had when creating the collection.
E.g: When creating your first collection, if you select for your members to pay the transaction fee, then this setting will apply to all future collections.
If you change the setting so the club pays the transaction fee, then all past collections will stay the same and all future collections will use the new setting (club pays the transaction fee).
