As a player (or parent of a player), you will receive invitations for different types of events on SportEasy: trainings, matches, tournaments, team/club party, etc.
You can easily let your coach know if:
You are available for the event ✅
You are unavailable for the event ❌
You have just joined your team on SportEasy, and you can't edit your availability status for future events?
It is because the coach didn't invite you to these events yet. Just ask him to invite you to the events you are interested in on SportEasy.
You are available / unavailable for the event
Simply click on YES in the invitation email you received. Or click on PRESENT in the mobile notification.
Or simply click on NO in the invitation email you received. Or click on ABSENT in the mobile notification. If your coach has enabled this option, you will be able to provide a reason for your absence: read the article Absence reason: how does it work?.
Default statuses
Since the end of 2025, it has been possible to set default statuses when creating an event, without systematically asking members or their parent(s) for their availability.
Coaches can replace the Pending status with one of the following:

Present by default: The member is automatically registered for the event.
They receive a notification (email or mobile) and can withdraw at any time. -
Absent by default: The member is informed that registrations are open.
They receive a notification and can register whenever they wish.
There is not necessarily a response required in these cases, but it is important to keep an eye on registration openings for each event of your team!
Registration deadline ⏳
Your coach can set a registration deadline for an event. Once this deadline has passed, registrations are closed and you will no longer be able to update your attendance status.
In your calendar
- Before the deadline: the deadline is displayed on the event. You can still update your attendance status.
- After the deadline: a notice indicates that registrations are closed. Your attendance status remains visible but can no longer be changed. If you still need to update it, a message will invite you to contact your coach directly via the SportEasy messaging feature.
In the match sheet
- Before the deadline: the deadline is displayed. You can still update your attendance status.
- After the deadline: the page refreshes automatically when the countdown reaches zero. A notice indicates that registrations are closed. Your status remains visible but can no longer be changed. If you still need to update it, a message will invite you to contact your coach via the SportEasy messaging feature.
Notifications related to the registration deadline
- When registrations open (email): if a deadline has been set, it will be shown in the invitation email.
- Reminder before the deadline (email & push): you will receive a reminder indicating how much time is left before registrations close.
- When registrations close (email & push): you will be notified that registrations are now closed.
- If the deadline is updated: if your coach changes the registration deadline, you will receive an additional notification to keep you informed.
Joining the team after the registration deadline?
If you join the team after the registration deadline for an event, you will not be automatically added to it. However, your coach can manually add you if they wish.
