As a team admin, you can collect payments online from your members.
Will your team be charged fees?
- Yes, there are charges
To guarantee secure online payments, SportEasy has a partnership with Stripe - the world leader in online payments.
Stripe systematically charges a fee for each payment made by one of your members.
- But, with SportEasy, you can avoid paying these fees
When you create a payment collection, you can choose between:
Our tipping system
SportEasy allows you to collect payments online without charging fees to your team. Instead, your members have the option to leave a tip to SportEasy when they confirm the payment.
They can decide not to leave a tip, but Stripe's transaction fee will be covered by SportEasy. Without tips, we lose money.
This is a risk we are willing to take to allow your teams not to lose money.
We are relying on your member's generosity.
How our tipping system works:
- create a new collection in your team
- create your different fees
- No fees will be taken from the amount collected
- You'll receive 100% of the fee charged
- Whilst confirming the payment, your members can choose whether or not they wish to leave a tip to SportEasy. They can change the amount.
Stripe transaction fees
For payments made in France/Euro, the transaction fee is 2,5% of the amount paid by the member.
For all other currencies, transaction fees represent 4% of the total amount paid by credit card.
SportEasy has negotiated with Stripe to reduce their usual transaction fees so you save money, we even offer the lowest fees on the market for amateur sports teams!
Online payments are extremely regulated to make sure they are secure. Solutions that allow payment management - such as our partner Stripe - are rare.
By paying bank and administration fees, you guarantee the security of your transactions.
⚠️ You can charge these fees to the team (e.g.: charge €100 and receive €97.5), or pass them on to the member (e.g.: charge €102.5 and receive €100).
How to choose?
By default, for countries outside of the euro zone, transaction fees are applied to the team. For countries using the euro, the tipping system is selected by default.
You can change the system from the collections page, in 'Settings' and 'Transaction fees'.
⚠️ Changing the settings will only apply to future collections. Payment collections already created will keep the original system in place. If members start paying a collection, you can no longer change the system.
For example: If you have created collections before changing the settings to the tipping system, transaction fees will be applied to your team.
Your next payment collections will use the tipping system.
